My favorite nostalgic cookies are Calumet sugar cookies. My family's been making them since about 1920 when one of my great grandmothers used the recipe published in an advertisement for Calumet baking powder.
ReplyDeleteThey are our go-to holiday frosted cookie recipe with standard buttercream frosting- no royal icing on these babies!
Susan, my favorite cookie was a thin buttery and nicely spiced oatmeal raisin that I had up north. A friendmade them, and I never got the recipe- but they were amazing.
